Season 12: Vanderpump Rules Returns – The Mess We Love
Okay, guys, let's be honest. I'm obsessed with Vanderpump Rules. I mean, obsessed. Like, I've probably watched every episode at least twice. Maybe three times. Don't judge. So, naturally, when I heard Season 12 was coming back, I practically leaped out of my skin. This season? It's a whole new level of drama, baby. Buckle up, because it's a wild ride.
The Fallout From That Scandal
Remember last season? Yeah, that one. The one with… well, you know. Let's just say it left a few relationships in tatters. This season picks up right where we left off, and honestly, it was a little overwhelming. I almost needed a drink (or five) just to process everything. It's like they threw gasoline on a bonfire. And then threw more gasoline. And then some more. It was intense! The producers really did a great job of keeping the tension high, and honestly, I'm still recovering.
Navigating the New Normal
The fallout from the main event of last season really shook things up for everyone. It wasn't just about the main players; it spilled over, affecting almost every relationship dynamic on the show. The group tried to move forward, navigating new dynamics, which honestly, felt pretty uncomfortable to watch at times. The awkward silences and forced smiles were everything. They're navigating some serious issues like trust and forgiveness. It’s a tough watch sometimes, but it’s also super relatable—those kinds of situations can be so messy, and I found myself feeling their emotional turmoil intensely.
And don't even get me started on the social media fallout! It was insane. The internet went wild. I spent a solid week deep diving into Twitter and Instagram arguments. Seriously, it's a rabbit hole you don't want to fall into.
New Faces, Old Drama
We also have some new faces this season. I always like new cast members, although sometimes they don't really add much to the drama. A few of the newbies fit in pretty seamlessly, adding some fresh perspectives to the mix. One in particular seemed to really stir the pot, which was exactly what we needed. However, some other new faces just sort of floated around without making much of an impact. We’ll see if they become more relevant later on in the season, or if they're just there for background shots of parties and stuff.
Scheana's Journey – A High Point
Scheana, for the most part, really shined this season. She’s clearly matured a lot. We saw a softer side of her. It was refreshing to see her in a positive light, showing growth and resilience. While there were moments of drama involving her, I found myself rooting for her throughout much of the season. She's always been a fan favorite, for better or worse, and her growth has been rewarding for viewers to see, as well as for those involved personally.
My Biggest Takeaway: Real Life IS Messy
What I really love about Vanderpump Rules (besides the obvious drama), is that it shows how messy real life can be. These people are dealing with real-world problems, in a very public way. The show doesn't shy away from the ugly side of relationships, friendships, and the struggles we all face. It's not always pretty, but it's relatable, even if the circumstances are, let’s say, extra.
What to Expect from the Rest of the Season
I'm honestly not sure what's going to happen next, but I'm here for it. The show is doing a great job of keeping me on the edge of my seat, and that's more than I can say about a lot of reality television these days. The producers are doing a fantastic job of building suspense, and I have no doubts we are in for more explosive moments! Tune in next week to see what crazy drama unfolds. But be warned, it is definitely not for the faint of heart. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.
